Brain Metastasis

Management:

 

  • Small cell lung cancer previously untreated - chemotherapy +/- RT

  • NHL and GCT's - chemotherapy +/- RT

  • Other tumour types

Solitary - Stereotactic radiotherapy (with or without prior whole brain RT)

Multiple - Whole brain radiotherapy 20Gy in 5#. For patients with poor KPS and disseminated extracranial metastases, to consider 12 Gy/2# (4-7 days apart).
