Oligodendroglioma :

§ Diffuse infiltrating glial tumour

§ Arise from oligodendrocytes.

§ Slow growing.

§ LOH 1p - associated with marked chemo-sensitivity.

Imaging :

§ More in frontal / parietal region.

§ Hyper dense lesion.

§ Enhance with contrast

§ Calcification+>50%

Natural history:

§ Slow growing

§ Unclear if endothelial proliferation / necrosis – determine prognosis

§ Usually not graded according to astrocytomas
